It is a pleasure to serve Alfalfa County.
Our office is required by Oklahoma law to visually inspect all property in Alfalfa County at least once every four years. We also inspect property for new construction or following sales. Our four-year visual inspection plan approved by the Oklahoma Tax Commission is shown below:
68 O.S. Section 2818 states that in the performance of his/her duties, the county assessor, or his/her duly appointed an authorized deputy, shall have the power and authority to go upon any premises and inspect or appraise any property located within his/her county.
If you received a door notice that your property was visited by the Assessor's Office, please be aware that the exterior measurements and photographs are necessary to complete our records. It is the goal of the Alfalfa County Assessor's office to respect your dwellings, personal property, and animals. Our staff was only at your location for the time necessary to update our records. Your property may have been visited because it lies within the annual visual inspection area, or due to a recent sale or indicators of new or removed improvements.
If you have any questions regarding the visual inspection process, please call the office at 580-596-2145.
Respectfully, it is a pleasure to serve Alfalfa County.
